![]() o New proposals related to adapted sports or para-sports o Any other context or sports discipline that currently lacks evidence The objective of this Research Topic is to collect research from experts in the different fields mentioned. From this topic we want to continue promoting science around women and sports. The objectives of this research topic are twofold: Firstly: To continue to consolidate a science around sport, from multiple perspectives: o Sports physiology o Analysis of technical and tactical behaviors o Game systems o Competition analysis and performance analysis o Sports psychology o Sports rehabilitation o Methodology and statistical analysis o The coach o Analysis of sports training Secondly: To open a space where researchers can continue developing studies in areas that are very important yet still lack substantial scientific literature: o Children and youth sports: new training proposals and performance analysis o Women's sport, both individual and collective, deserves special attention. Children and youth sports, adapted sports (parasports) or women's sports require a greater volume of studies to allow us to consolidate sports science. On the other hand, there are also other types of sports modalities which lack robust scientific literature. Sports physiology, behavior analysis, performance analysis, sports psychology, new methodological trends, latest training proposals and even the implementation of new statistical techniques are established approaches that must continue to evolve. Despite the expansion of scientific knowledge around sports, more in-depth research is required. This is also the case for sports training, an area where groups and individuals are open to new methodologies and proposals for sports interventions. Many sports and disciplines are taking advantage of the support provided by empirical evidence to increase performance in competitions. Increasing the performance of athletes via strategies and recommendations backed by scientific evidence has become a necessity. The science surrounding physical activity and sport has been experiencing unstoppable growth for more than 30 years.
